"ERETIA was born from the concern of Borja (Guitar) and Carlos (Drums) to play together and see what could come out of there. We both knew each other since we were teenagers and from sharing a rehearsal room, concerts and free time throughout all these years. We came from playing in bands of different styles such as Osoluna (Post-HC-Screamo), Tempano (Screamo), La Tumba de Nicolas Cage (Post-rock), etc. all of them dissolved or on indefinite hiatus. The idea was to direct our sound towards other influences that we had not had the opportunity to capture in our bands towards a darker, more metallic sound, following the influence of bands that we like: Light Bearer, Isis, Amen ra, Aussitot Mort, Rosetta , Cult of Luna, Fall of efrafa, Lisabö, … the list could be endless. I think in 2018 we do our first rehearsal, but soon we discussed the idea with other friends David (guitar/vocals) who is playing in Fürio (post-rock) and Rubén (bass), they liked the idea and joined the band. From the beginning the band started with the sole intention of making songs and spending time with friends. Songs are coming out soon and consolidating our sound, so after some shows we decided to start recording in 2020, 6 songs for what would be our first album, but due to COVID, it is delayed until the summer of 2021. We are lucky that We all believe in and defend the values ​​of DIY. This is really important for us, we have grown up in the DIY scene, and it is the place where we want to be and develop our activity as a band, where we believe that there is coherence with our ideas. The album has a theme in the lyrics that is collected in the 6 themes: the influence of today's society on people, their way of life that is imposed and directed towards guidelines that mark the media, politics, "culture ” expanded, the digital age, etc. and how it affects people's behavior and lives."
